The 2010 edition will be the eighth one of this race of adventure, internationally recognized as one of the hardest and most important of the world. It will take place between September 30 and October 9.
The Bimbache Extrem Castilla y León 2010 will be THE ADVENTURE RACE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, and there will intervene, among others, the winning teams of the ten editions of the Adventure Race World Series.
In this occasion the provinces chosen to carry out this adventure, in which there will take part 50 mixed teams of 4 members each coming from approximately thirty countries, will be those of Salamanca and Ávila, since in both previous editions the race took place through Segovia, Soria, Valladolid, Burgos, León and Palencia. The start will be under the attentive look of the medieval wall of Ávila surrounding this historical city, and the finish line will be placed in the center of Salamanca, with its beautiful and centenary buildings.
The best teams of the world have already taken part in the Bimbache Extrem competitions, attracted by the extreme character of this adventure, not only for the design of the tours but also for the incredible landscapes that they cross.
On the other hand the competition will rely on the presence of numerous means of press and television both national and international, as well as a production of television and photography.
The teams that participate will be able to observe the wonders and contrasts that these inland provinces will provide; mountainous areas, plains, rivers and reservoirs compose their geography.

Since the 2010 edition is the world championship it will have a longer tour that in past editions, that possibly will include about 700 kilometres of mountain bicycle, trekking, canoeing in rivers and lakes, rafting, line skating and, as always, incredible and spectacular sections of ropes, tyroline and rappel.
